Every new care worker that we recruit has to progress through a serious of checks and training before they are allowed to work alone with our clients.

Every member of staff must have an enhanced police check, once we have received this and their references then we start their training which consists of the following;

Induction training, this can go on for a few weeks, but before we let any new member of staff out we must make sure they have completed the following training which is Mandatory

Our carers are required to gain certification in the following subjects;

  • Assisting Moving and Handling
  • Basic First Aid
  • Fire prevention and emergency provision
  • Food Hygiene
  • Health and Safety
  • Infection Control
  • Safeguarding Adults at risk with an add on for Safeguarding children

Once we have certificates for the above we can then start shadowing the new carer with an experienced carer until they feel confident and we feel they are competent to go alone.

Once they are out shadowing,  we are a phone call away for any problems or questions they may want to ask us.
